IRELAND


The au pair's age must be between 17 and 27 years old.
The duration of the stay has to be between 6 to 12 months.
Working hours vary from 25 to 35 per week plus three evenings of baby-sitting per week.
The pay is around 70/100 euro per week.
Au pairs have the right of 2 days off per week and 1 week of a paid vacation for every 6 months of work.
The au pair must have the opportunity to attend a language course and the cost of it are in charge of the au pair.

Citizens from  EU and Iceland and Liechtenstein need neither a visa nor a work permit to be an au pair in Ireland. They just have to notify the police of their presence in the Country.
Citizens from all other Countries need a visa to enter in Ireland, which must be obtained with the condition that the au pair has to be enrolled at a recognized language school for studying English. Au pairs will have a part-time job for a maximum of 25 hours per week but the visa can be denied if there is evidence that the student would intend to work full time.
